the last challenge!!

Another challenge is over and it is time to find out the names of our Top Scribbler, Top Three and Gold Star recipients. While the number of entries was down again, those that did join us did a fabulous job. As always, the DT really enjoyed checking out all the incredible work that went into designing them. An extra special thank you to those of you who used a Scribbles Designs image! It is always great to see entries with Sandy's images. Don't forget, if you enter using a Scribbles Designs image, you receive 2 entries per project and there are no limit to how many you can enter.

(honourable mention--a project or card that is uniquely creative)

Normally we have just one honourable mention. However, this time around there was a tie for this garnered spot. It came down to me to be the tie breaker and I just couldn't decide between the two projects as each had its own merits, appealing to me in different ways. Mind you as it turns out, the same person was responsible for each of the projects in question so I'm going to share both of them.

First up…

Some of you may not realize but Scribbles Designs and its owner Sandy are Canadian. So am I (Lisa) for that matter and funny enough so is this week's Top Scribbler Deanne. Between the three of us we encompass all of Canada--Sandy is from British Columbia which is the province farthest west, I live in Ontario which is almost in the middle, and Deanne is from Newfoundland which is the province farthest east. I know of at least a couple other people out there that frequent our challenge who are also Canadians.

As it turns out, our honourable mention this week came to live in Sandy's home province of British Columbia just five short years ago, due to a job transfer from California. Since then she has officially become a permanent resident. Welcome to Canada Rijacki, we're lucky to have you join us in this amazing country and so happy that you are able to join us here at Scribbles Designs.

Now you might be wondering why I am making such a big fuss this week. Well, Canada just celebrated its 150th Birthday on July 1st and I was completely tickled 'red' to see that one of our entries decided to observe Canada Day as the holiday for their card. I am very proud to call myself Canadian and wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the world. So, congratulations Canada on this momentous occasion and thank you so much to Rijacki for sharing your unique project commemorating this special day.

Below is the project that the other half of the Gold Star votes went to…
